Reviews/Interviews

This is a book review.
But a different kind of book review.
One in which I agree and disagree with the author on a lot of things… Which, for me, makes it all the better of a review.
I’ve decided to review not the book, but the idea behind the book. There are enough reviews of the book itself out there. First things first though:
A Little About The Author.
Dragoas Roa is one of the few people who’s blogs I still read (I’m down to 20 blogs). He phrases his blog as “Brilliantly Better”, but I have to call it “Realistic Personal Development”. Most self improvement bloggers will tell you how to live life better, but once you take a look at their bio you realize that they don’t lead that great of a life (harsh but true). Dragos is different. His posts ooze “life experience”. You can tell he’s lived, that’s he’s not a just a preacher, but a doer.
So when he released Assess – Decide- Do, I was thrilled to review it.

The doorbell rang.
“What the hell?! Who could this be early in the morning? None of my friends even know morning exists.”
It was the Delivering Happiness
book.
The advanced copies.

My first in-depth book review!
Before reviewing his book, I can tell you that Jonathan Mead’s blog is one of the few blogs I read religiously. I stumbled upon it, thinking it was like all other personal development blogs (giving out the same information over, and over, and…). But, not being one to be judgmental without proof, I gave it a chance and read some of his posts. I was both hooked and proven wrong, instantly. His thought provoking posts and radical thoughts on subjects new and old pulled me in.
Anyways this is a post about his new book “Reclaim Your Dreams”, not about his amazing blog… So, let’s get to it.
**My book reviews shall be written from my point of view, and I shall approach each book as if I have no prior knowledge on the subject.**

A while back, I was speaking with a friend who asked me how I keep track of so many things, blog on a constant basis, and generally live such a productive life, especially when others my age are playing video games and watching TV. He unknowingly unleashed one of my non-comprehensible rants on patience and not watching TV, but pretty soon the conversation turned to the applications I use on my computer and phone to stay productive (he’s a tech junkie, so it was expected).
I can’t explain to you just how happy he is after trying a few of these applications out. He’s constantly telling me how much free time he has now, how less frantic he is, how more organized he is, yada, yada, yada. Seeing how happy and productive these applications made him, and wanting to spread joy around the world (Santa complex?), I’ve decided to list my top ten productivity increasing apps.
Let’s dive into the list:

Throughout my “lifestyle design” journey I discovered a few eBooks that showed me that a better life was in fact possible. I don’t think you should just take my word for it, though. Never believe anything without being skeptic about it first is my motto. For example, there are a ton of free books out there (not just ten).
But, being the generous soul that I am (self-praise is good for you
), I’ve decided to offer you ten of the best eBooks I’ve read on personal development, doing what you love, questioning life, lifestyle design, and general thought provokingI guarantee. But no matter what, the message is still the same (as it is with all free knowledge):
topics out there (by some of the best people). If you take the time to actually read them you’ll learn something new,
Download them, read them, learn from them… And hopefully share them.
You can either read them here or Right Click & Click Save As to download to your computer.

Earlier I listed my “top 10 fictional books” and I promised I’d post the list with my “top 10 nonfictional books”. So, here I am, keeping my promise (I’m a bit late). The books here are a mix of “face reality” , “thought provoking”, and “do better in life” books, which I’m all for.
Quick word- The fictional books were the books that opened up my eyes and let me see these nonfictional books, which are loaded with much more amazing info due to it being true. But, both lists are dire to the shaping of who I am today and I’m thankful I read them all. Without further ado, I will shut up, and just list them already:
