Changes Coming To dancePROOF: FearTale Friday

Time For Change

I’ve been very busy working on an addition to dancePROOF that I know a lot of you will love. Sadly, that’s coming later this year (October or November)… And I’m not going to talk about it anymore ’till then.

In the meantime I made a few changes with the site.

  • Posting Changes

I’m going to be posting more music, poetry, videos, and stories on here (if you don’t like it, you can leave, I have no quarrels with you). I’ve decided to do this because I’ve come to realize that I, quit frankly, was getting tired of the blog. Yes, I was getting tired of my own blog. I’ve figured out why; I got tired of it because I never used it as a place to show all my loves. Yes I love writing, and personal development. But I also love music that touches the soul (I do dance after-all), poetry that shakes the foundation of your being, and stories that touch the heart (I sound like a romantic).

I wasn’t showing those loves here.

And with my goal of using this blog to express myself (and help others along the way), I wasn’t actually being myself by holding these “artistic” sides of me back. And I personally feel that if I’m not being genuine I can’t ask others to be.

So, from now on every Monday I will post one of my favorite songs (I currently have over 12,000+ songs in my library so that shouldn’t be a problem). Every Thursday I will post a poem that touched my heart/soul/core of my being. And on Sundays I’ll continue to post videos- but I’m cutting it back to one video per Sunday, not two.

I’ve been working on a new site for about two weeks now. I scraped it today. Yep, two weeks work, gone… I scraped it because I’ve decided to incorporate it into dancePROOF.

A FearTale is a true story about how someone conquered a fear they had.

None of these will be written by me! They will all be stories that have been submitted to me by people brave enough to share their personal story with me and the world (submit your own story, I’d love to post it!). If you see a Friday without a FearTale it means that I have not had any submitted to me that week… A risk I’m willing to take because the overall goal of hearing how different people with different fears each conquered them triumphs the notion of a missed week or two.

I have no expectations whatsoever that FearTales Friday will be a success, but it is a great concept that I think will do wonders for everyone (for the writer and the readers) in the end.

Those are pretty much all the BIG changes that are happening starting this week. There are going to be minor changes here and there along the way (for example, the comment system changed), but nothing too drastic.

Enjoy the site! And email me your “FearTale” anytime at my email address!

Hey, I'm Arsène. To sum everything up briefly I'm a krump dancer/teacher, mixed-media artiste, social media manager, writer, ex-ubervegan, ex-polyphasic sleeper, and a genocide survivor (yes, that's the brief version). If you must label me, call me "fool" or "revolutionary". I don't mind, I've been called both countless times.
